At once compassionate and challenging. Requires complete surrender to the flow of the pieces, but rewards the listener plentifully.

Forged in ornate, melodic songwriting, this is drone music that has been arrived at through fearsome complexity. Ambient, but cubist. Both ancient and modern, this is an exciting new entry into the American avant-garde. Near touchstones may be found in Germany’s kosmische Musik or the UK’s fabled Canterbury scene, but Feast Of The Epiphany’s electrocuted folk tapestries are entirely unique. Here is a spiraling processional of distortion-drenched keyboards, surprising bass lines, and sometimes lurking, sometimes soaring, always impassioned vocals. Imagine a distant cousin of dungeon-synth stepping outside to discover reality, with two accomplished guitarists in tow providing counterpoint.
The three members of this ensemble have served as an integral connection among a broad variety of artists in New York’s music and art communities. Composer and multi-instrumentalist Nick Podgurski plays drums in the acclaimed doom-improv trio GRID, composes ambient keyboard music as New Firmament, and spent years as a member of avant rockers Extra Life. Guitarist Andrew Smiley performs solo and as guitarist of Little Women, Chris Pitsiokos Quartet, Bloor, and Empyrean Atlas. Multi-instrumentalist Caley Monahon-Ward (ex-Extra Life, Voice Coils) has contributed work to such collaborators as: Xiu Xiu, Liturgy, Snowblink, Erica Eso, ICE Ensemble, Alarm Will Sound.
Thank you to: Theo and Megan, Tony Gedrich, Keith Abrams, Nick McMaster, Johnny Deblase, Carl Saff, Martin Bisi, Colin Marston, Rachel Rosheger, Jaci Raia, Roger Hayn, Hank Shteamer, Travis Laplante, and countless others whose contributions have been invaluable in bringing this to fruition.

Brilliant union of early music and rock. Strong Cardiacs vibes. I find a lot of chamber rock to be meandering and aimlessly angular. However this stuff is different, the compositions are extremely tight and diverse. The instrumentation is sparse and rickety, but has these brilliant flashes of grandiose orchestration, it's very balanced. I don't think I've heard a more successful integration of early music into modern forms before. Absolutely a modern masterpiece of progressive "weird" music. impressivelad

Do yourself a favor and sit down, close your eyes and listen to this beautiful piece of ambient soundscapes. I was completely absorbed in the sound waves and in meditation, both dark and bright. Trine Lykke

total brain melter! Krallice decides to take their music in a slightly different direction, introducing extremely chaotic and technical riffs amidst super complicated drum patterns. heavy Behold the Arctopus vibes from this one. n. charlene excelsia
